According to the American Pet Products Association survey, 54% of American households owned a dog from 2021-2022, and the number keeps rising. Yet only 8% of those pet pooches are taken to obedience classes. Could that be why so many dogs are given up? During those same years, over 3 million dogs were put in shelters, 670,000 put down, and 620,000 returned to their owners. How could a little training have solved this dog retention problem? I believe it would have helped drastically!

What does training include?

Weekly Updates
You'll receive weekly updates on how your pup is coming along that usually include a few photos or a training video.
Realistic Training
Lots of realistic training scenarios in various locations like training at the local park, in home, around the community, and on the farm.
Private Lessons
A minimum of 2 lessons are included in every board and train option, whether you come during your dog's training with us or post training. We want to ensure you can confidently handle your dog!
Basic Training Supplies
Everything your dog needs to learn skills required of them. Some of these things include a treat bag and training collar.
Socialization
Socialization to other canines, humans, and various animals. Most of our training is held at an active farm with many people and animals to become accustomed to. Your dog will receive many socialization opportunities.
Transportation
Transportation to and from training location may be available depending on owners location. A fee will be applied in relation to farther distances where transportation is needed.

Private Lessons
Private Lessons last 45-60 minutes, and we'll work with you and your dog to meet your specific training goals. You will learn how to effectively communicate with your dog to get amazing obedience. Next, we'll teach you how to apply that training to life.
The benefit of this program is that you get trained alongside your dog, and lessons are cheaper than choosing a board and train program. Owners who invest time and commitment into training really do well with this option.

The first week of any board and train program is the most instrumental, so we decided to offer you a 10-day board and train program where YOU finish your dog's training!
With the Combo Canine program we’ll teach your pup the foundational obedience skills during his 10-days stay here. During and after your dog's board and train stay with me, I’ll instruct you on how to sharpen his obedience through 2 private lessons.

If your dog struggles with leash pulling, jumping up on people, rudely darting out the door, needs to overcome some fears, or any other impolite tendencies, this is the program for him!
Obedience and Manners is a foundational, on-leash, 3 week training program where we teach your dog necessary obedience skills such as sit, down, stay, and heel. We do the hard part! All you need to do is maintain the training and new good habits at home!

Obedience and Manners + Anti-Aggression
Does your dog need some extra help in the obedience and manners department AND struggle with aggression toward other dogs or humans?
In this 3 week Obedience & Manners + Aggression program, we’ll focus on firstly giving your dog a solid foundation with on-leash obedience and manners. Next, we’ll use trusted and balanced training techniques to minimize or altogether eliminate his aggressive tendencies. Your dog will be exposed to the people or dogs that trigger this out of control behavior, and we will work on changing his predictions. Not all men, for example, are abusive and wanting to harm your dog. Many times dogs which exhibit aggressive behaaviors are rescues and have been beaten or abused, so they associate certain types of people and/or dogs as dangerous and harmful.
We can not guarantee complete success with all canines, but be insured that we’ll do our absolute best to minimize his aggressive tendencies, and you will finally know how to properly handle a dog that before seemed uncontrollable.

Advanced Obedience and Recalls
Are you looking to have more fun, leash-free freedom with your canine companion where he can roam freely yet will immediately come back when called?
In this 6 week long program, your pup will learn all the obedience and manners covered in the 3 week program then will move on to off leash training. Your dog will be able to sit, stay, heel, and come without leash promptings. He’ll have freedom to roam and explore freely yet understand the rules that come with this privilege. A high quality, waterproof, dogtra e-collar is included in this program, which we use as a signal to gain attention and focus and NOT as a means of torture or as a “shocking device.”
The benefits include confidence that your dog will reliably return when called, the ability to hike the woods without tangling up a leash, and allowing him to burn the extra calories without having to run with him every step of the way.
